Metz lake and Moselle river banks

The waterfront, right in the heart of the city, is open to yachting and a wide range of sporting activities, such as canoeing, rowing and skateboarding, and offers moments of relaxation and vacation: dancing fountains, Metz-Plage, hot-air balloon departures, terraces at the "Flottille" at Quai des Régates or the Guinguette de l'Esplanade...

You'll also appreciate the river tour departures. From April to October, the 9 to 75-seater electro-solar boats offer you the chance to discover the Moselle River and the flora and fauna around Metz.

Walkers can reach the botanical gardens via the towpath of the Canal de Jouy, or follow the banks of the Moselle to discover the marina, which has been awarded Europe's Blue Flag status, as well as unique views of Saint-Etienne's Cathedral and the Temple Neuf.
