Business Tourism

With the opening of the Centre Metz Congrès Robert Schuman (Metz Robert Schuman Conference Centre) in September 2018, Metz Métropole, the City of Metz and the different historic destination partners are committed to the development of business tourism, in consistency with the large industries of economic development in the area.

Congress Office of Eurométropole Metz, your first choice guide for events

This dynamic first grew with the creation of the Congress Office of Eurométropole Metz, then the creation of the local “Inspire Metz” brand, and finally the creation of the travel agency with the same name which unites business tourism (Bureau des Congrès), leisure tourism (Tourist office) and economic development (welcome and support of businesses) expertise.

The Bureau des Congrès plays an essential role in the reception and development of professional events: conventions, seminars, symposiums, conferences, product launches...

It is organisers’ first choice guide, acting to facilitate events and bring its partners together.

Its missions are:

  • Promoting the Eurométropole Metz destination through fairs, workshops, educational tours...
  • Look for new events so that they take place in the area
  • Guiding events organisers in putting events together (evaluation of the feasibility of the project, organisation of location visit, event assistance and support, connecting with local partners, accommodation marketing and management...)
  • To be the mediator in relations with service providers

In order to ensure the quality of services given by local service providers (hotels, Metz-Nancy-Lorraine airport, SNCF, coach operators, taxis...) and to guarantee the satisfaction of professional events organisers and participants, a Business Tourism charter for the destination to Amnéville-les-Thermes has been established, making the reception policy official.

A Conference Centre and the prestigious facilities for your events

The Centre Metz Congrès Robert Schuman is the destination’s flagship facility for hosting events. Located one minute from the TGV train station, opposite Centre Pompidou-Metz and close to the historic centre, this building has the most recent technologies, a 1200 seat adaptable auditorium, 3400 m² of exhibition spaces and 14 commission rooms, with all the latest features.

It adds to around forty other events spaces, including prestigious establishments such as the Arsenal, Saint-Pierre-aux-Nonnains, Centre Pompidou-Metz, Le Royal, Château de Courcelles and even unusual spaces such as Bliiida, which are able to meet any requiements.

The hotel offer is also perfectly adapted: 2400 hotel rooms classed from one to four stars, including 700 rooms close to the conference centre and 1500 rooms within 1 km of it. In the near future, the hotel Maison Heler, designed by Starck, will come and complete the offer.
