Introduction
Construction of Saint-Clément Abbey (1683-1737) began with the church. Designed by architect Jean Spinga. The church is a perfect example of the Benedictine Gothic style in use until the mid-18th century. Since 1982, the former abbey has housed the headquarters of the Lorraine Regional Council in a completely renovated Pontiffroy district.
