Introduction
Discover this astonishing musical heritage at the Cathedral of Saint Etienne, a masterpiece of Gothic art: its strikingly beautiful nave reaches a record height and houses a surprising swallow's nest organ (known as the triforium organ), built in 1537 by Jehan de Trèves and rebuilt in 1981 by Marc Garnier, in the Dutch Renaissance style.
Also of European importance are the exceptional Saint Martin organ (Nollet 1777) and the Notre Dame symphonic organ (Mutin 1903, in a Nollet case from 1734). The neo-Gothic woodwork is made of varnished oak.
