Introduction
Built between 1901 and 1904 in neo-Romanesque grey sandstone on the Jardin des Amours at the end of the Place de la Comédie, the Temple Neuf contrasts picturesquely with the classical architecture of the Opéra-Théâtre. Illuminated at nightfall, it is magnified and reflected in the Moselle, offering one of the city's most beautiful night views.
