Introduction

A circuit marked by small bronze triangles fixed to the floor embossed with an image of the clocktower at the station.

Built up around the station (a masterpiece by the architect Kröger 1908), this remarkable illustration of German town planning at the end of the 19th century/beginning of the 20th century, offers an extraordinary encyclopaedia of historic and new styles: Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance or Baroque, Art Deco and Jugendstil.

Monuments: SNCF train station 1905-1908, main post office 1908-1911, Saint Thiébault’s square, Mondon’s square, the old station 1878.
