Introduction
An avant-garde choreographer trained in classical dance, Forsythe has been overturning the codes of ballet for several decades, relentlessly reinventing the very writing of movement. For him, the deployment of the body in space becomes the raw material for research in which the notion of imbalance constantly challenges gravity. Additive Inverse, created in 2007, plunges the Studio into a thick fog from the center of which emerge luminous circles. Their presence depends solely on the cautious movement of visitors, the density of their occupation of the space subtly influencing the pattern of intertwined circles.
