In the manner of the inventors and physicists of the late 19th century who staged the progress of their knowledge at scientific conferences, Des éclairs stages electrical energy. The piece takes a "raw" approach to the musicality of electricity, by putting the energy itself on stage. The set design directly reveals the pulsation, the wave, the potential difference, the flow of electrons, giving rise to sound through electroacoustics. In this way, we can see and hear the electrical material at work. A true return to the origins of sound.
