Metz Constellations Festival

Constellations is Metz’s unmissable festival. Over the course of several weeks, more the 400 free artistic events take place and light up the city through concerts, courses, exhibitions and spectacular projections. The Constellations festival develops links with international digital artists, and attracts more and more people every year.

Fontaines dansantes (Dancing fountains)

Every weekend, the water comes to life at Lac des Cygnes, offering a colourful musical show in a green setting that is popular with nature lovers. A poetic event for the whole family!

Les Montgolfiades (Hot-Air Balloons)

Les Montgolfiades is an unmissable event which marks the end of summer by bringing together a large number of hot air balloon enthusiasts. The hot air balloons offer an unforgettable show, filling the whole sky, delighting the public. 

The Moselle Open

The Moselle Open is the Metz event for tennis lover and is a highlight of international tennis. This week of high-level competition brings together the best players from the top 50 players in world tennis on the ATP calendar. 

Brocante Outre Seille (Bric-a-brac)

First Sunday in September, in the Outre-Seille district in Metz

The Outre-Seille district welcomes its annual large bric-a-brac market every first Sunday in September. Come and meet the many antique dealers and bric-a-brac traders to do some bargain-hunting for collector’s objects and get some good deals.

Journées Européenes du Patrimoine (European Heritage Days)

This event highlights the preservation and respect of architectural heritage on a European scale. It’s the opportunity to discover certain civil or religious buildings that are usually closed to the public over the course of two days. This includes the New Temple in Metz and even some parks and gardens in the city centre and Metz Eurométropole.
