Reflections on the Moselle




In the heart of Metz or on the banks of the Moselle, enjoy all the outdoor activities in the towns and villages of the Euro-Métropole: rides on solar-powered boats, cruises, river taxis, drinks concerts, swimming at Metz Plage and water sports such as kayaking and paddleboard.
 
💡 Good to know: Euro-Métropole de Metz is proud to be a sustainable destination, you can get around using Metz’o (electric shuttle boats)VéloMet’ or Graoulib’ (electric and standard bike hire schemes).

From one bank to the other, with a public transport ticket, you can discover unique views of Metz aboard electric boats on the Moselle, passing through Moulins-lès-Metz, Longeville-lès-Metz and Scy-Chazelles.

Spotlight on summer's cultural and festive events



Dive into the cultural world of the Euro-Métropole de Metz and enjoy some fantastic events. On the programme: the Hop Hop Hop International Open-Air Performing Arts Festival, Constellations de Metz international festival, Fêtes de la Mirabelle, Mécleuves Terres de Blues festival and more.
From 25 June, throughout the summer until the start of the new school year, festivals and major events follow one after the other, bringing the region to life.

💡 Family favourites: workshops for children and teenagers are on offer at various cultural venues such as the Centre Pompidou-Metz and Cour d’Or Museum - Euro-Métropole de Metz.
 

 

Shining a spotlight on heritage and history



With 3000 years of history, Metz and its surrounding Euro-Métropole boast a remarkably well-preserved heritage, showcasing a variety of architectural styles from the Gallo-Roman era to the contemporary architecture of the Centre Pompidou-Metz.
 
It’s an opportunity to visit Saint-Étienne Cathedral with its 6500 m² of stained glass (including works by Chagall), Cour d’Or Museum - Euro-Métropole de Metz and Biodiversity Pavilion, Cloister of the Recollects, Porte des Allemands (German Gate), Robert Schuman’s House in Scy-Chazelles, Roman aqueduct in Ars-sur-Moselle, Museum of the Franco-Prussian War of 1870 and the Annexation in Gravelotte etc.
