Introduction
Following the success of this year's presentation of Counting the Rice in the Paper Tube Studio (PTS), the Centre Pompidou-Metz is renewing its invitation to Marina Abramovic in a cycle dedicated to her work, with three exceptional workshops.
In this context, the artist presents Looking at Colors. In this participatory action, the work is constructed through the endurance of the visitor. Sitting motionless in front of a panel of primary color - red, blue or yellow - visitors are invited to plunge their gaze into it and let their minds wander as the color evokes subjective associations - a meditative invitation that calls for attention, rigor and listening to oneself. Invited to embark on a privileged emotional journey, everyone can experience art as a tool for concentration, introspection and transformation.
The artist will present a third participatory exhibition from May 9 to November 23, 2026.
