Introduction
In the Middle Ages, people lived in harmony with the animal world, filling their songs with real or surreal creatures. Drawing on the *Cantigas de Santa Maria* and the Italian repertoire, the ApotropaïK ensemble explores this forgotten connection. Between hunting onomatopoeia and wondrous fables, the four musicians bring out the full beauty of the flutes, harp, and lute. For this immersive performance, the quartet is joined by a set designer and an illustrator. A poetic immersion in which, before the eyes of young and old alike, our ancestral connection with the living world is reborn.
