Introduction
The Ensemble Miroirs Étendus juxtaposes the *Folk Songs* composed in 1963 by Luciano Berio, a leading figure in contemporary and electroacoustic music, with songs by Bob Dylan from the album *The Freewheelin'*, released that same year: both of which draw inspiration from traditional music.
*Miroirs Étendus* celebrates this connection with arrangements of “Black Is the Color (of My True Love’s Hair)” and “I Wonder as I Wander,” collected in the Appalachians at the turn of the century, and iconic Bob Dylan songs such as “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “Girl from the North Country.”
